On Saturday January 30,2010 I became the "mother" to a son.....now that everyone is wondering what is going on let me share our story.
Rusty and I traveled to Michigan for Christmas...Rusty was there for two weeks and I followed and spend a week there. We went to see his family and spend some quality time with his children. His son, Dakota, had been struggling in school and really was feeling alone without his dad and asked his mother if he could come home with us back to California. As any mother's first response would be the answer was no. So Rusty and I came back home to live life as we had been. We have been praying for his children and that God would soften the heart of their mother. Our God is our Father and knows what is best......so giving the situation prayer was all we had!!
Rusty had called the kids on January 25, as he does every Monday, and Dakota was having a rough day. So at the conclusion of the conversation Rusty reminded the kids mom that he would take any of them at any time.....she said can you come get Dakota? His response was are you sure? She said,"I think it's best for him right now". So we booked Rusty a ticket to go get Dakota. He left Thursday and came home with him on Saturday!
Dakota started school on Monday and is adjusting well!!! So there you have it, I had a son on Saturday.....without the weight gain, without the pain of childbirth and he came fully potty trained....woo hoo for that one!!!!
It's kind of fun to buy clothes and toys for a boy!!!!
So now I am mothering 4 children and I started school last night.....I am in class Mondays and Wednesday until mid-June to earn my Pharmacy Tech license. WOW!!!!
