Life is an adventure!

I know that it's been awhile since my last post, I just can't seem to have anytime to sit down and blog!!! The house flooded at the beginning of October and we have been living out of boxes since! We FINALLY have a floor again and are slowly moving thing back in. So I will share a little bit of what's been happening around our crazy house and hopefully have time to make a slideshow in a little bit.
October was busy!!! First the flood (no we aren't talking Noah's, but it was close).Then a quick weekend trip to San Diego...the sun was nice. The following weekend the ENTIRE family heading to Disneyland. We haven't done a family trip like that in a LONG time...it really was a good time!!! Then came Halloween....the only part that doesn't thrill me is that I have to think of costumes all by myself. The girls never have a clue what they want to be. I always say we are going to think about it early and that never happens!! So I ended up with 3 black cats this year!!
November wasn't as crazy and October! We had parent/teacher conferences at school...I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with Devyn's academics this year. And Jordyn....well.....she has excelled beyond my imagination. They are even talking about removing her from speech therapy!For me I went to the orientation for the Phlebotomy program and am hoping to get a spot in one of the classes for 2010! The kids had the entire week of Thanksgiving off for school....I had big plans with them and my plans got tanked. Katelyn ended up really sick!!! After an hour of Motrin in her she was still running a fever of 103. Turns out she has the H1N1 virus!!! After 2 days of Tamiflu you would have never known she was sick! Thanksgiving was good...we went to the grandparents, had a good meal, and visited a little bit.
Now we are in December! Last weekend Rusty and I took a break and headed to Six Flags for the day....I think that is our favorite place to go!!! Tomorrow the girls have their "winter" program at school. On Sunday we look forward to their church program too!! Christmas will be here before we know it!!! I have the girls for Christmas Eve this year so I will be flying out to Michigan on Christmas morning! I'm so excited to see the kids!!! Well....hopefully between now and Christmas I will post again!!!
