Is it Friday YET!?!?!

To answer my own question....NO!!!!It is NOT Friday Yet. For some reason this week doesn't want to end. It just keeps hanging around. But Friday is coming...I am actually really looking forward to the weekend. I am going to work on Friday and the girls are going with their dad. This will be the first weekend that I am braving the whole idea of Katelyn spending two nights over there. Unfortunately this is a decision that I have been forced to face and I just have to "get over it". I hate the fact that I have been put in a position where I have to "share" my kids, but such is life and I have excepted my new challenge and with God by my side I will be able to get through this too. After all I did survive the last 5 years. Oh yeah back on track. The kids will be gone and I have Saturday and Sunday off!!!!Complete 100% off....no work & no kids! What will I do with myself?!?! I have pondered taking a drive for some clam chowder or maybe a drive to the bay. Or I can just stay home, turn on the Fresno State game, make some hair bows, scrapbook a little,maybe even take a Nap. What is that word?Nap?Is that a foreign language?I'm not really sure, but I might do it.Ahhh I am wishing that Friday HURRY up!!!

Our Fall Routine

Our Fall Routine is in full swing!!! Although where we live in central CA we don't really see the seasons change, once school has started and our schedule is back to 'normal' we know that fall is in the air.
This week has been interesting....11 years ago, right out of high school, I attended the local Jr. College. I had NO interest in going to school at that point in my life and pretty much quiet going. Now that I am almost 30 and have some idea for what I want to do with my life. I had to go back to school. Well, I took this semester to get me into the groove of school again and my experience has been frustrating. So this week I send a letter to my counselor,the Dean of Student and the President of the college. Ok so sending a letter to the President was probably a little on the extreme side,but it worked. I saw some results to my situation almost immediately! I was still only able to get two classes, so I hope it works for me.
Devyn is doing so well. I can't believe how mature she has become since last school year. She can now read!! Although she occasionally gets stuck on a word or two she can read. She still loves her school and her teacher. She attends the same school I went to and it is so weird to stand on campus as an adult. Weren't the water fountains a lot taller?!?!
Jordyn started at preschool this year and LOVES it. What a difference a summer makes. Last year she didn't want me to leave her anywhere and now she doesn't want to leave when I come pick her up. Also, this week she started back to P.A.L.S. That is a speech and language preschool that is focused on her speech delay. It is an alternative to a one on one speech therapy. We love it!!
Katelyn is spending some individual time with me. I am enjoying the time but realize that it will be short lived. I will take it one day at a time. Katelyn's preferred method of transportation is WALKING!!! I hate it....lol!!! There is just something about the 'baby' and milestones. They are WAY more bittersweet than with the other two. Although she is growing and doing well it is sad for me knowing that she is the last. Well, I better get off of here and take Jordyn to the sitter....yippie!! Until next time.

Pre-School Today

Oh word....JORDYN!!! What do I say about Jordyn. Jordyn started preschool today I hope the teacher is quick on her feet because Jordyn has a question about EVERYTHING!!! She is what I like to refer to as my "reality check". Jordyn is gives me perspective on what a "normal" kid is, yet she is so far from normal. Having been back in my parents house for almost a year now, my dad thinks he has gone back in time about 20 years. He constantly tells me that Jordyn acts just as I did as a child. At first I was offended, but I don't think I turned out too bad so I'll take it as a compliment.
It makes me smile to think about where Jordyn is today compared to just a year ago. Last year everyone(including her dad) need me to translate what it was Jordyn was trying to say. Today we can understand just about everything she says and she NEVER stops talking. Her poor teacher!!! Sorry I'm rambling...it's the cold medicine talking.
So Jordyn started preschool today and it was for parents and me.I was able to stay the whole day. She was so funny when we were leaving she kept asking,"next class you are going to leave, right?". Which is really out of character for her. I guess she really enjoyed it and is showing her maturity in not wanting me there all day.So she will be at preschool every Monday and Wednesday. I am really excited to watch her blossom this school year.
