HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATELYN

Today we celebrated Katelyn's 1st birthday.It was a small celebration(for our standards). I had to work last night on her actual birthday so I opted to have her party after church with a light lunch. We had a great time!! I am really finding it difficult to believe that my baby is a year old. Katelyn is only 1 and has already brought a lot of joy to her family. I am looking forward to watching her continue to grow. What a blessing she has been!!!

School's in session

Yesterday was the start of yet another school year! School gives us some consistency in our not so consistent lives. This is the third school Devyn has attended and she is only in 2nd grade (hopefully this is the last move for awhile). Devyn LOVES her new school. She came home yesterday and was so excited that she is "popular" at her new school. I'm not sure I completely understand what popular mean to a 2nd grader,but she was cute and excited anyway.
Today we had a recheck with the ENT (ear, nose, and throat) for Jordyn everything looks GREAT!!! That was wonderful news. Her ears have never been clear for this long of a period. We return at the end of the year so he can check and see if the tubes have pushed themselves out.
Tomorrow is my babies 1st birthday! It is definitely a bittersweet day for me...She's my baby. Although I can't help but be excited that she is growing and is healthy her "birth day" was an extremely tough day in my life. For now I need to put that part to rest cause we need to celebrate!!!!

The Week Ahead

Well, we have a very big week ahead! Devyn and I get to do our annual back to school shopping. We have back to school night at her new school(poor kid....this is her 3rd school and she is starting 2nd grade)on Wednesday, Thursday is the first day of school and Saturday is Katelyn's 1st birthday. WOW!!! I'm tired already and it hasn't even started yet!
I am really getting excited to get back to a schedule. Although life won't be calm a routine is really nice. I can even have a designated time to blog (at least every week). So it is off to start the week.

Practice.....Practice

Katelyn's birthday is quickly approaching....yikes!! I can't believe that her special day is almost here! So yesterday I had the brilliant idea that I should practice for her one year old birthday shoot so that I had an idea of what I wanted. The pictures turned out so good I don't know if I really need to take her anywhere(thanks Kari). Here's a preview of some of them.
