July Update (pictures to follow soon)

As many of you know this summer has been different on many levels. Not only am I dealing with a lot of new emotions, and trying to have a "normal" summer with the kids I have had a TON of paperwork and meetings to follow through on. It seems as though I have a paper due or a meeting to attend every other day! Then I am throwing children's activities in the middle. As of today the stress of "keeping it together" is wearing on me......I think I need to sit on the beach somewhere by MYSELF maybe have a good cry and be on my merry way. So enough of an explanation as to why I am such a slacker on the blog and a horrible photo taker. Thank you for lending an ear (or moment in this case) to allow me to vent my stress).

So the kids are staying pretty busy. This is the first few days that they have had some down time. They are attending VBS again this week at my parents church and Devyn is having a BLAST! She asked a couple nights ago if there was anyway she could spend the night at VBS. I hear summer camp calling her name!!!
Jordyn-Well what can I say......she is still a Jornado!! While they were at the coast with Joel I actually purchased a swing set for the backyard. I is for the most part put together and she has spent some quality time OUTSIDE!!! As if my parents wanted to go back 20 years. They now have children's toys taking over the backyard. I really do apologize for that. As if that wasn't enough I bought Jordyn a water/sand table for the backyard. Toys R Us was having an awesome clearance!!!
Katelyn-She is well on her way to being a walker!!! Just in the last couple days we have caught her letting go of the couch and attempting to take a step. What happen to my baby! I am also having a tough time accepting the fact that her birthday is in 4 weeks. I think every year goes by quicker.
We have had an enjoyable summer and I know that Devyn and I are looking forward for school to start. Last week we went to Chuck E Cheese with Lucas who made a surprise visit from Washington. We also went to the circus that same evening. There have been many swimming trips made. And although the end of summer doesn't mean the end to my stress, it will bring a new beginning for me and the girls.

Blogging slacker....that's ME!!

I don't know where time has gone. I checked my blog and I just couldn't believe that it has really been that long since I wrote. Summer is FLYING by!! This is the week of July 4th and Devyn and Jordyn are heading to the beach with their dad for the week. I will be working a little and taking some much needed rest!! Well, let me try to catch you up as quickly as I can.

Since it is summer Kari is off of work and I am no longer watching Rylee. I didn't think it would happen but I miss that little red-head! My mom watched her the other night and I was able to snap a few bath time pics.

Katelyn is really getting BIG.....she is getting into everything!! The other day I caught her as she emptied out the entire box of Kleenex. Did I scold her or tell her that was naughty....NO of course not I grabbed my camera. Silly me! She still isn't walking, but getting really close. She can let go and just stand there for a long time.

I am trying to keep the other girls busy this summer, but I'm not doing that great of a job. The are constantly bickering at one another. While they are with their dad I am going to come up with a better plan. Well, I better get going. Katelyn is now up from her nap.Hopefully it won't be so long for my next post.
